Project Coordinator Full-Time / Internship
PBC Construction Group is looking for a full-time Project Coordinator and/or Project Coordinator Intern.
PBC is a commercial general contractor with more than 40 years of experience delivering high-quality construction and real estate development projects across the Midwest. We specialize in light industrial, retail, restaurant (QSR), institutional, healthcare, and site development projects.

Job Summary
The Project Coordinator supports the project management team by helping organize, track, and coordinate key project activities from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to start a career in commercial construction management and gain exposure to how projects are planned, executed, and delivered.
For interns, this position offers hands-on experience working directly with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors, with increasing responsibility as skills develop.
What You’ll Do
Project Coordination & Support
Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination
Help maintain project schedules, logs, and documentation
Track procurement items, submittals, and approvals
Support setup of project controls and administrative processes
Preconstruction & Early Project Support
Assist with subcontractor onboarding and prequalification
Coordinate site visits, preconstruction meetings, and project kickoff meetings
Support permit applications and utility coordination efforts
Communication & Documentation
Serve as a point of coordination between project management and field teams
Maintain organized digital and hard-copy project files
Help prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up items
Support preparation of project handoff material
Learning and Growth (Intern Focus)
Learn how commercial construction projects move from planning to completion
Gain exposure to scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and subcontractor coordination
Shadow Project Managers and Superintendents to understand field operations
Take on increased responsibility as experience and confidence grows
Project Coordination Qualifications and Skills:
For Interns / Entry-Level Candidates
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Strong interest in commercial construction and project management
Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
Comfortable communicating with both office and field teams
For Full-Time Project Coordinators
1–3 years of experience in construction coordination or project support (preferred)
Basic understanding of construction documents and workflows
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Skills That Set You Apart

Attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable working in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with construction software or document management tools is a plus
